Pilates and Personal Fitness Training E-mail

Carole has been teaching one to one exercise since 1990 and pilates since 2002.  "I became interested in Pilates after years of weight training and running. I was intrigued with the concept of longer leaner muscles. At 5’ ’7” I   already had that basic look.  The idea of increasing flexibility and developing move core strength is the basic principle of Pilates."   All work out sessions including pilates are private, however we can train two people at the same time.   Sometimes its that extra motivation from not only a trainer, but accountability to a partner as well that keeps consistency in the program.  After all, starting something is easy. Staying with something CONSISTENTLY is what makes the change happen.  Sessions are approximately  55 minutes and may be purchased one at a time or in multiples. All questions regarding pricing are discussed prior to the first session.  No contracts are required.

Pilates participants have grown in number from 1.7 million in 2000 to 10.5 million in 2004 – more than 500% growth in just four years. Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen.

It teaches body awareness, good posture and easy, graceful movement. Pilates improves flexibility, agility and economy of motion. It can even help alleviate back pain.

AllegroRowA refreshing mind-body workout.

Pilates gets your mind in tune with your body. By emphasizing proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and complete concentration on smooth, flowing movement, you become acutely aware of how your body feels, where it is in space, and how to control its movement. The quality of movement is valued over quantity of repetitions. Proper breathing is essential, and helps you execute movements with maximum power and efficiency. Last but not least, learning to breathe properly can reduce stress. Pilates elongates and strengthens, improving muscle elasticity and joint mobility. A body with balanced strength and flexibility is less likely to be injured.
